Leanna graduated from the Lancaster School of Cosmetology and joined Shortino’s in 2013. She specializes in custom color and dimensional highlights, and she keeps training so your color stays current and healthy.

With over two decades behind the chair, Renee specializes in hair extensions, non-surgical hair replacement, and hair integration toppers. She is also an experienced colorist and educator who takes on complex color correction and precision cutting.

Frank Michael runs the salon and still works behind the chair after more than 20 years. He trained at the Vidal Sassoon academies in London, was named to Wella International’s Top Stylist Artistic Team in 2001, and his work has appeared in Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.

Kat first licensed in 1991 and refreshed her Pennsylvania license through Empire Beauty School in 2022. She does cuts, color, balayage, keratin, and waxing, and she is glad to work with both English- and Spanish-speaking clients.

Meet Katalina “Kat,” a passionate beauty professional with a lifelong love for hair, beauty, and transformation. As a valued member of the expert team at Shortino’s Salon & Spa, Kat brings decades of experience, creativity, and a genuine dedication to helping every client look and feel their best. Fluent in Spanish, Kat is proud to provide a welcoming and comfortable experience for both English- and Spanish-speaking clients.

Kat first earned her cosmetology license in 1991 through Wilfred Beauty Academy, gaining valuable hands-on experience soon afterward while working in a busy salon in Jackson Heights, Queens. For many years, she continued sharing her talents with friends and family through personalized hair services, keeping her skills polished and her creativity inspired.

In July 2022, Kat renewed her professional training by graduating from Empire Beauty School and earning her current Pennsylvania cosmetology license. Since joining Shortino’s, she has continued to refine her techniques in a professional, client-focused environment while staying current with today’s beauty trends and services.

Kat offers a wide range of services, including precision haircuts, creative and corrective color, vibrant balayage and highlights, classic perms, smooth blowouts, relaxing keratin treatments, and professional body and facial waxing.

An experienced colorist and educator, she also has a passion for complex color correction and precision haircutting, approaching each client with a keen eye for detail and an appreciation for truly individualized results.

Outside the salon, Renee is an avid traveler, bird enthusiast, scuba diver, and lifelong lover of the outdoors.

With 10 years of experience as a licensed nail technician, Janay brings a passion for healthy, beautiful nails and personalized self-care to every appointment. A true natural nail enthusiast, she specializes in manicures, pedicures, and dip powder services, creating polished results while prioritizing the health of the natural nail.

In 2024, Janay graduated from De’Rielle Cosmetology Academy (DCA) with a focus in esthetics. She is currently continuing her education at DCA while pursuing her Teacher’s License, further developing her knowledge and passion for the beauty industry.

She is also a Dermalogica Level 1 Expert and HydraFacial certified, allowing her to bring her esthetics expertise and commitment to professional skincare into her services.
